That Painting Feeling
Even though this painting is technically not my best work, I just Love it!
This simple little painting of my Mum, Dad and niece always brings a smile to my face and warms my heart when I walk past it. Since I took the time to paint it, it's lodged all the details of that day more clearly in my mind.
I'm instantly transported back to a summer day spent with the family where I can see my niece's clumsy toddler steps and hear our laughter after she dramatically refused to take her Granda's hand.
This painting reminds me that it's not how 'good' an artwork is that matters, it's how good it feels to look at or create it that counts.
Is there a photograph, painting or memento that creates the same feeling for you? If so, I’d love to hear about it. Just hit the comments and tell me about it.
This is THE class to learn more about portraiture....either for clay OR for your paintings.
