Define the Pace
Have you ever gone into a mad flurry of doing and then burnt out shortly after? I know I have.
So how do you prevent that?
It’s about defining the right pace. Ask yourself if your work schedule and life is being run at a jogging or sprinting pace?
If you are cramming in too much into your schedule you're effectively sprinting and that can only be maintained for a short stretch. Eventually you'll be choking for air and risk burn out.
Jogging on the other hand is about learning your own pace, one that can be maintained for a much longer duration and allows you to grow in endurance for a long distance journey.
However, there's always the temptation to look at the next jogger. For their position to make you feel too far behind that you want to sprint to try and catch up or question if there's any point in jogging at all because you may never reach or overtake them.
Either way disrupts your pace.
The point of finding pace is learning to take the long view and realising you don't need to rush to catch up with someone else's journey.
No one wants to choke or burn out – find your pace.
